Ingredients
- 200g veggie slices
- 4 hamburger rolls
- 70g soy-based drink
- 140g peanut oil
- 1 turmeric teaspoon
- 200g chickpea hummus
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 Tropea red onion
- Salt
- Pepper
- Extravirgin olive oil
Method
- Add the chickpea hummus in a blender together with the veggie slices.
- Form 4 balls and squash into patties.
- Slice the tomatoes and the Tropea red onion.
- Pour a few oil drops and the soy-based drink in the blender and add the turmeric.
- Blend until getting a soy-based mayonnaise.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cut in half the rolls and warm in the oven.
- Spread some mayonnaise on the internal side of each bread slice.
- Simmer the veggie burger in a non-stick pan with a few drops of oil.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- It now time to create the hamburger.
- Place the veggie burger on the bottom half of the roll, then spread over a tablespoon of mayonnaise, lay over the lettuce, tomato slice and lastly the onion.
- Put the other roll half over and if necessary use a wooden stick to hold together.
